The Burka: Unfair Modesty in Sports?

I found an interesting article this morning about the dilemma of Muslim countries and women's sports. I hadn't thought about it but the Muslim ideal that a woman should cover every inch of her body makes it a little hard for these women to compete in sporting events. It would be pretty odd to have burka-clad swimmers and the like. Although many Muslim women suggest that the burka is for modesty and not for control, the fact that they can't really compete in world sports without shedding the modesty ideals for women says a lot. Is there more freedom for women in Muslim countries who wear the burka or less? Is it wrong for countries to demand that women uncover their faces? Who is the burka really helping, men or women?
